Introduction

Do you remember going to your grandmother’s house?
It was small and intimate, comfortable and welcoming.
Well that’s Lawley House.  This simple country farmhouse
is neatly decorated in  an odds-and-ends collection of furniture
from family and friends, with a few flea market finds as well.
The beds are made with cotton sheets fresh from the clothesline,
soft quilts and down filled pillows.  The rooms are clean and bright,
with large windows and fresh, airy window dressings.
If you like sweet sunshine, warm rain and cool shade,
come to Lawley House.  It’s simple here.

Located twelve miles south of Tahlequah in the historic Cookson Hills,
Lawley House is a sample of Ozark culture.  Come sit in the porch swing
and enjoy the gentle breezes that always seem to blow.
Hear stories of local outlaws and lawmen and the old settler families
who were connected.  Let us give you directions to lesser known scenic drives
for sighting spring dogwoods, mountain vistas and gorgeous fall foliage.
For an idea of what the area has to offer, see our Links of Interest page.

We look forward to hearing from you!
